Syllabus and Curriculum

The Velammal matriculation school (main) follows the Matriculation Board syllabus meticulously, from classes I to X. For classes XI and XII it follows the curriculum of the Board of higher Secondary Education. Apart from the syllabus given by the Board, the subjects viz., value education, computer science, health education, environmental science, arrival Tamil and general knowledge are also included after the careful designing the subject experts will select the text book the materials for the year.

The curriculum design is made at the beginning of each year to implement this carefully knit system, dedicated teachers facilitiate the flow of knowledge to the students.

The main focus is however on developing the skills required for 3 Rs - Reading writing and arithmetic. The academic experts in various disciplines decide the areas to be emphasized for a holistic learning to help the child excel physically mentally and spiritually

Kindergarten: (L.K.G. to U.K.G):
Sensory activities, Montessori apparatus, phonic drill, play way arithmetic, life skill based curriculum, soft skills, leaning creative work, alphabet and numbers, Tamil /Hindi, singing coloring, sturdy belling, Nature talk, health talk, Arts + craft, Games and conversation.

Pre-Primary (1 to11):

Primary (III, IV TO V)

Middle school (VI, VII, VIII)

High school (IX toX):
